Leadership

Leadership

Accountability with a name attached to it.

Golden is led by practice, not by an account layer. Each practice owns its standards and its outcomes, and every engagement has a named senior engineer and a named value owner who stay from the assessment through to the value report.

How We Are Led

The person who scoped your work is the person who builds it.

The standard consulting structure separates the people who sell from the people who deliver, and inserts an account layer between them and the client. It scales beautifully and it produces exactly the failure mode we built this firm to avoid: commitments made by someone who will never have to honour them.

So we run without it. A senior engineer is named on your engagement at the assessment and remains through delivery and into the value review. A consultant from the client value practice owns the value model and the monthly report. Both are reachable directly, and escalation goes to a practice lead rather than to a relationship manager.

It limits how fast we can grow, which we consider an acceptable price. Continuity is the mechanism that makes accountability real.

The Practices

Five practices, each owning its own standards.

Practice leads set the technical standard, approve what ships and answer for what happens afterwards.

01

Artificial Intelligence

84 specialists

Agentic systems, voice, decision intelligence, generative AI, vision and the research liaison in Finland. The largest practice in the firm and the one where most client value now originates.

Accountable For
  • 01Model and architecture decisions across all AI engagements
  • 02Evaluation standards and release gates before anything ships
  • 03Responsible AI governance and the decision-log standard
02

Software Engineering

67 engineers

Platform and product delivery: lending systems, property operations, marketplaces, field service and the integration work that connects AI to the systems where work actually happens.

Accountable For
  • 01Delivery quality, code review and the named-engineer commitment
  • 02Technical due diligence and programme recovery engagements
  • 03Handover standards so clients can operate without us
03

Data & Cloud Platform

24 engineers

Warehouses, pipelines, feature stores, Kubernetes, reliability engineering and the cost discipline that keeps a data platform from quietly becoming the largest line in an operating budget.

Accountable For
  • 01Platform architecture, security posture and cost attribution
  • 02Reliability targets and incident command
  • 03Infrastructure-as-code standards in client accounts
04

Design & Research

18 practitioners

Field research, service design, interface design and the adoption engineering that determines whether any of the rest produces value. Treated as a commercial function, not a decorative one.

Accountable For
  • 01Adoption targets and the instrumentation behind them
  • 02Accessibility conformance across delivered interfaces
  • 03Rollout design and enablement for changed roles
05

Client Value & Consulting

14 consultants

Value assessments, value models, ROI modelling and the monthly value reporting that every engagement is judged against. Also the practice that writes the recommendations not to proceed.

Accountable For
  • 01The value model on every engagement, and its baselines
  • 02Monthly value reporting to the accountable client executive
  • 03The decision to decline work that will not pay for itself

Governance

Three mechanisms that stop this from being an organisation chart.

MECHANISM 01

Cross-practice review

Every engagement is reviewed monthly by a practice lead who is not working on it. The review covers technical quality, risk and whether the value model is still credible — and it has stopped projects.

MECHANISM 02

Value reporting to the client's executive

The monthly value report goes to the client's accountable executive, not to a procurement contact. It states baseline, actual and variance, including the months where variance is unfavourable.

MECHANISM 03

Named escalation

Clients receive the practice lead's direct contact at kick-off. Escalation does not route through a relationship manager whose incentive is to keep the conversation comfortable.

The Organisation

Two hundred and seventeen people, by practice.

Seniority

No bench, no pyramid.

We do not maintain a pool of graduates billed at consultant rates. Junior engineers exist and are trained deliberately, but they are not sold as senior capacity.

Questions

What clients ask about our structure.

  • 01. Who will actually work on our engagement?
Named individuals, listed in the proposal, including the senior engineer who scoped it. If we need to change that team we tell you why, in advance, and we do not substitute seniority downwards.
  • 02. Why are leadership profiles not published here?
Because in practice clients care about who is on their engagement rather than who appears on a company page. You will meet the people accountable for your work in the first meeting, and their names go in the proposal.
  • 03. What happens if we are unhappy with the team?
Tell the practice lead directly — you have their contact from kick-off. Changing team composition is a normal request and does not require a commercial negotiation.
  • 04. How do you keep quality consistent across countries?
Delivery is concentrated in Kathmandu under one set of practice standards, with client partnership near your time zone. Consistency comes from the work being done by one organisation rather than by a federation of offices.

Next Step

Meet the people who would actually do the work.

The first conversation is with the practice lead and the senior engineer who would run your engagement — not with a salesperson who introduces them later.
